The motivation for this design was a newspaper article which explained that physiotherapists increasingly received requests from medical institutions about teaching children how to fall down. Because of an increasing number of bone fractures the hypothesis is that children don’t know how to break their fall.
The world of gaming is an attractive scene for kids. They spend a lot of time behind their computers, playing outside is no longer their main activity. This could result in loneliness and separation from other children. With these shooters I aimed to create an exciting game for children, with similarities to the video gaming scene. The rubber band shooters come in pairs, stimulating kids to play with each other. The aesthetic is based on the controllers of different gaming systems.
